Assessed Works

AT1 Photography Task
This was a group-assessed photography task where we first selected a photographer together, then recreated three of their images each. In this task, we chose photographer Masumi Ishida and used PDP to analyze three of her images. Then we tried our best to replicate them, and produced a video essay comparing our pictures.

AT2 Film Marketing Task
This poster is part of my Assessment Task 2 Film Marketing task. In this task, I was given several fictional film titles and asked to create a theatrical release poster. The poster was designed to communicate the genre and narrative of the film through media codes and poster conventions.
I first decided on the romance drama genre. I analysed 2 posters from the same genre to identify common codes and conventions. This helped me understand what audiences expect for the genre through technical, symbolic, and written codes such as typography, key image, colors, background image, body language of the actors, and more. I chose this genre because I enjoy it and felt confident explaining the codes and conventions.

AT3 Trinity Newsroom Project
This was a group assessed task where we were required to produce a feature based article and a podcast about Esperanto. We conducted research on the topic and carried out several interviews to use in the article. The podcast was connected to the article but not entirely on the article. It only touched on some key points and we explored more topics related to Esperanto.
We first had to decide on the tone and angle of the article. Initially, our angle was quite serious and very educational, with a formal and informative tone. However, after receiving feedback, we decided to change our angle to a more lighthearted and casual style to make it more enjoyable and not strictly educational, more like soft news rather than hard news.
